25-year High School Reunion Wrap Up
The reunion committee would like to thank everyone who came out on November 23, 2002 to make our 1976-1977 25-year reunion such a great success! Although our numbers were not quite as large we had originally planned, we really believe the attendees had a better time this year than at past reunions that had bigger turnouts. Clearly everyone in attendance was there to have a good time and ready to spend some time catching up with each other. For those of you who couldn't make it, let's just say you really missed something special when everyone from each class got on the dance floor and sang their class song (Freebird and I Got A Name). We think everyone would agree that having a joint reunion was a great idea.

The committee would also like to thank the great people at the Clarion Hotel. The staff accommodated all of our requests and seemed genuinely concerned to do what they could to make sure the night was a success. We all thought that the hors d'oeuvres and dinner were just great (including a drunk who tried to crash the reunion). The ladies on the staff reminded me a lot of the lunch ladies that worked in the high school cafeteria.
I personally would like to thank the two people on the reunion committee that worked very hard at putting this all together. Vanessa Nolker Fischer for the class of 1977 and Mary Kay Beckes Oleniacz for the class of 1976 deserve all the credit. They worked almost single-handedly for their respected classes to get this reunion together.
The night of the reunion, November 23 was an extra special day for some the attendees. Thanks and congratulations to Jeff Olar (1976) and Diane Cortese Olar (1977) who were celebrating their 26th wedding anniversary with us. Similar congratulations go out to Jeff Erskine whose anniversary is also November 23. Best Wishes to Jan Mierzejek Roth who was celebrated her birthday with us.
We are planning on keeping this web site up and running for now, so you can continue to come here for any news about the class of 1977 (and I guess 1976 and any other class). As soon as the reunion yearbook comes in, I will scan some pictures and put them on the web site. If anyone took pictures at the reunion, I would like to get a copy. Please contact me.
As far as plans for the 30-year reunion, it's way too early to tell. Obviously we will want to try to find a way to get more people to attend. But we do feel that there will be a 30-year reunion.
For all attendees: If there was anything about this reunion you thought we could have done a better job with, we want to hear from you. Please let us know your concerns.
For everyone who didn't attend: If there is something the reunion committee can do to make it easier for you to attend our next reunion, please let us know.
We still have some reunion booklets left for sale for (including shipping) to anyone couldn't attend and wants to get the latest info on our classmates.
